The RSPCA Lincolnshire East Branch has been looking for homes for four puppies since they were born in care in August this year.
The lurcher puppies were born in kennels after their mistreated mother came to the RSPCA. They were born in a litter which included four other pups, but they have all since been rehomed.
Arkady, Aragog, Daphne and Velma
Now aged just three months old, the last four, named Arkady, Aragog, Daphne and Velma, really need new homes before December, when many RSPCA branches take a break from rehoming to prevent pets being taken on as Christmas presents.
Lincolnshire East Branch administrator, Iona McLachlan, is fostering Arkady and Aragog, the two males. She said: "These puppies need new homes so they don't have to spend all of the festive period in kennels. If they are adopted now it would give them plenty of time to settle in before the festivities begin."
Iona added: "The puppies' mother is a good-natured tan lurcher named Abby. We think the father was probably a lurcher-type breed too. Ideally, we'd like someone who knows something of the breed to rehome them so they get the best possible care."
Scooby and Patch
As well as the puppies, the RSPCA also needs homes for two of the other dogs in its care.
Scooby, a German shepherd cross is only 17 months old and has been in kennels since April this year. He is good with older children, but needs a home without young children.
Patch, a brown and white male Staffordshire bull terrier, is eight years old and has been in kennels since February. He is good with female dogs, but not so happy to be rehomed with other male dogs.
Both dogs are very friendly and will make great pets and, after such a long time in kennels, they need a home environment so they too can have a happy Christmas.
